This is the place where I feature my handmade lampwork beads and tutorials. Right now I'm focused on my dragon beads and humpback whale beads, but I still make jellyfish focals, frogs, mushrooms, fish and whatever else tickles my fancy.
Flameworking for over ten years has given me plenty to fill these pages with so please browse around. See samples of past work, shop for current work or learn how to make beads. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Follow me on Facebook and Twitter, read my Blog or Pin me!
What I Do
Lampworking is an old art. Today you might have heard it called flameworking. I use a propane fueled torch to melt long, thin rods of glass into new shapes.
You can see my torch and some of my tools on the About Me page.
I specialize in sculptural beads inspired by nature and my imagination. Most of my pieces right now are dragons, jellyfish seascapes, frogs and birds, but I make all sorts of things.
When I'm not melting glass, I'm writing tutorials about it! These 'classes on paper' allow me to come right into your studio and take a seat next to you. Everything from how to encase, make sculptural bead or canes and right up to dragons or jellyfish aquariums--I don't hold anything back.
